Olympic Track Trials

A number of the qualifying heats have now been run out at the US Olympic Track Trials in Eugene, and the talent of these runners is just too much to be believed. After the two qualifying heats for the men's 5000, Ian Dobson (who ran 14:01!) said "you think it should be a jog to run that time." These guys obviously have gears the rest of us do not have.

I can barely drive that fast! it will be interesting to see what these guys do come August. I wonder if Beijing's smoggy air will play a role in the results.

Yeah, there's been a lot of buzz about the air quality for the olympics. we'll see.

my friend comes home from a year long stint in China this month and the thing he is looking forward to the most is breathing clean air! China is passing a bunch of laws to help the air quality.

watched track/swimming trials today. The athletes are amazing! The announcers were commenting on how some of the athletes are built for these sports! It is amazing how God has given each one abilities to show His power and creativity. I appreciate the running and swimming because I am a failure at each!!!
